What started as a single storefront in a growing California city has become one of the region's most trusted names in party and event rentals. Our story is one of vision, family, and an unwavering commitment to serving our community, and it spans more than six decades.
1964
The Beginning
Titan Tents & Event Rentals traces its roots to 1964, when June Harvey founded A&H Rents in Riverside, California. Riverside was a city on the rise, with expanding neighborhoods and growing families, and June built her business from the ground up, starting with lawnmowers and hand tools to serve the boom of new homeowners.
It was a humble beginning, but the foundation June laid, built on hard work, honest service, and a sharp eye for what customers needed, would define this company for generations to come.
The 1970s
Growth and Expansion
By 1970, June had grown the business enough to acquire Bayless Rents, adding rollaway beds and early party rental inventory including tables and chairs. Within a few years she made a decisive pivot toward what was quickly becoming the heart of the business, and in 1978 she invested in the future by constructing a back warehouse and significantly growing the table and chair inventory.
The 1980s
Defining the Business
The 1980s were a decade of bold choices. In 1980, June redirected the company fully into party and event rentals, and her daughter Janice joined the company, beginning a family legacy that would carry the business forward for decades.
In 1981, June Harvey made history as the first woman president of the California Rental Association, a landmark achievement that reflected the reputation she had built for A&H Rents as an industry leader. By 1985 the transformation was complete: the lawnmowers and hand tools that started it all were sold off, and in 1987 the company constructed a new two-story building for china, serving equipment, and linens, a full-service event rental operation built for the long haul.
2011 and Beyond
A New Chapter
After nearly five decades of building something remarkable, June Harvey retired in 2011, and her daughter Janice stepped into leadership. In 2018, Janice passed the torch to a new family, Jeff and Angel Leichty, who brought more than 50 years of combined experience in the event and rental industry.
In 2023, reflecting the expanded scope of their services and their vision for the future, Jeff and Angel renamed the company Titan Tents & Event Rentals. The new name honors the scale and professionalism the company has grown into, with full-service event rentals including tents, tables, chairs, china, glassware, linen, and everything in between, while staying true to the values that have guided it since 1964.
2026
Expanding to the Temecula Valley
In 2026, Titan Tents took a significant step forward by opening a location in Murrieta, California, at the heart of the Temecula Valley and its celebrated wine country. The region's thriving community of weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations demands the very best in event rentals, and our team is now locally positioned to serve it.
